Cosmetic Dentistry

Excellent cosmetic dentistry is about so much more than straight, white teeth. Choosing the ideal shape, size, and color for each restored tooth is critically important to achieving a beautiful result, and can vary widely between individual patients. Facial structure and profile, gender, skin tone, lip support, gumline contours, and overall jaw function all must be considered when creating the most beautiful, functional, and natural-looking cosmetic restorations.

Dr. Rich has been studying and practicing the art and science of restorative and cosmetic smile design for more than 20 years. She trained in advanced esthetics at the Las Vegas Institute, and combines that knowledge with her vast experience in functional and neuromuscular dentistry to create exquisite cosmetic results that feel natural and function comfortably.

Cosmetic improvements to your smile do not always require a full set of veneers or crowns to be effective, however. Sometimes, only one or two teeth need to be addressed in order to enhance the overall beauty of your smile. Cosmetic services currently available include, but are not limited to:

  • Full-mouth restorations with or without orthodontics
  • Porcelain crowns or veneers to restore individual teeth that have been broken or discolored
  • Accelerated, functional, and traditional orthodontic treatment, including clear aligners
  • Laser gum recontouring
  • Botox therapy for gummy smiles, lip lines and creases, puckered chins, and upside-down smiles
  • Composite bonding
  • Custom whitening kits for at-home use

Any type of restorative dental treatment, including cosmetic dentistry, requires a strong foundation of good oral health and excellent home care habits in order to be successful. In some cases, periodontal treatment may be required prior to beginning a cosmetic restoration in order to ensure that the restored teeth will be healthy and well-supported in the long term.
